Now, Trump has re-nominated her for the post and she is poised to come before the committee for another hearing. As chair of the Council on Environmental Quality, White would oversee the federal implementation of the National Environmental Policy Act, which requires environmental reviews of major government actions. Environmental advocates and scientists say that if confirmed, White could <\/span>dismantle a range of environmental protections that she has disparaged,<\/span><\/a> including the Clean Water Act, the Clean Air Act, the National Environmental Policy Act, and the Endangered Species Act.
