November elections (and one very big one in December) <\/span><\/strong><\/span>flooded our hearts with hope, relief, and joy, as progressives swept races across the country, even in unlikely districts. The elections delivered a giant smackdown to the Bannon\/Trump vision of America, with a large number of people of color, members of the LGBTQ community, and immigrants winning up and down the ballot. And <\/span>women<\/span><\/i> showed up and<\/span> meant business<\/span><\/a> \u2013 as candidates, organizers, and voters \u2013 and the nation is now on notice. Of the winning candidates,<\/span> 152 of them<\/span><\/a> are<\/span> Emerge<\/span><\/a> graduates, including<\/span> nine in Maine<\/span><\/a>. And <\/span>young people<\/span><\/i> ran for office and won.
